Excluded Source Types for SIMBAD and NED Cross-Matching for the X-ray Transient Candidate Database using a Custom Pipeline on the Chandra Data Archive

This dataset contains the lists of object types that were excluded during the cross-matching of X-ray sources with the SIMBAD and NED astronomical databases, as described in "X-ray transients in the Chandra archive". For SIMBAD, we excluded sources falling under the “Taxonomy of Stars” and “Sets of Stars” classifications. For NED, we excluded objects classified e.g. as stellar, planetary nebulae, or supernovae. These lists are provided in plain text format to facilitate reproducibility and to assist other researchers in applying similar filtering criteria.
