Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) poses a major threat to global healthcare due to its capacity to resist nearly all clinically available last-line antibiotics. A critical contributor to this resistance is the bacterial cell envelope, which serves as a robust physical and chemical barrier that limits drug penetration. This thesis focuses on the development of MRSA-targeted nanoparticles for antibiotic delivery and investigates their use in combination therapy with daptomycin to enhance antibacterial efficacy.
