Roadless areas in Italy: spatial data for biodiversity conservation analyses

This repository contains the spatial datasets, derived tables, and analytical outputs supporting the assessment of roadless areas in Italy and their contribution to biodiversity conservation and protected-area coverage. The deposited material includes spatial representations of roadless and core roadless areas, derived protected-area layers, gridded biodiversity-related information, and summary tables used in the associated analyses and figures. Source datasets obtained from third-party providers are not redistributed where unnecessary or restricted; instead, their sources, versions, and use within the workflow are documented in the accompanying README. The repository is intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of the analytical products generated for the associated scientific studies.
