Chemical analysis of soil from Cape Roberts to create reference sites prior to potential environmental impact from human activity

An assessment of the soils and vegetation patterns of the Cape Roberts area was conducted to determine existing conditions as reference sites for later determination of environmental impacts from the proposed McMurdo Sound drilling project (Cape Roberts Project). Two 100 m^2 plots had soil samples taken from each plot and from the adjacent area to allow comparative chemical analysis of contamination.
