Intralesional Candida antigen versus intralesional tuberculin in the treatment of recalcitrant genital warts: A comparative study

Treatment of genital warts using intralesional immunotherapy has been recently investigated in a few studies and showed promising efficacy and safety, and low recurrence rates as compared to traditional ablative therapies. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of intralesional Candida antigen injection versus intralesional tuberculin injection in the treatment of recalcitrant genital warts. According to the presented results, intralesional immunotherapy by Candida antigen and tuberculin seems to be a promising alternative modality for the treatment of recalcitrant multiple genital warts.
