The purpose of this study is to examine how gender depiction and traditional character roles in the Indonesian television series Nightmares and Daydreams contribute to narrative marketing and consumer perception. The series, which combines elements of family life dynamics with science fiction, reflects Indonesia’s cultural identity while simultaneously shaping audience engagement through narrative coherence and fidelity. By employing Walter Fisher’s narrative paradigm and a qualitative narrative analysis approach, this study explores how storytelling functions as a marketing tool that strengthens cultural resonance, emotional connection, and audience loyalty. Findings indicate that the portrayal of gender roles not only challenges stereotypes but also provides persuasive storytelling that influences consumer attitudes and behavior. This research highlights the potential of popular media as a strategic marketing communication channel to construct cultural branding and shape societal meaning, offering valuable insights for marketers, advertisers, and media producers.
