This data package includes interview transcripts conducted as part of the fieldwork in Spain on Assisted Voluntary Return Monitoring. It is part of a broader research on Assisted Voluntary Return Monitoring in Europe and was used to prepare the policy brief: Patteri, A. (2024). Best practices of implementing a human rights approach in assisted voluntary return (and reintegration): introducing human rights monitoring. Zenodo. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.15672376 The following characteristics describe this data package: (1) 3 online interviews (2) The country cover in this Data Package is Spain. (3) The language used during the interviews was Spanish and English and after anonymization, the Spanish transcripts were translated into English through an online translator. (4) The data package contains the anonymized interview transcripts (5) The interviews were semi-structured, which means that a set of topic/questions were followed, but also that follow up questions came out spontaneously from the interviews. The interview questions included the following topics: The way human rights approach was taken into consideration in AVR, the existing procedures of human rights monitoring in AVR, ways to improve human rights approach in AVR and General questions (6) Data type: text and audio; Data Format: .mp3, .docx.
