The dataset is derived from the research project "Competence Demands in the Rehabilitation Service, 1994", lead by Jan Froestad at the Jan Froestad, Department of Administration and Organization Theory, UiB. The objective of the project was to clarify how the rehabilitation service can develope its competences within profession-directed rehabilitation. The study directs the attention towards relationships between competence needs and real competence. Competence within the field of rehabilitation is understood in terms of the following three perspectives:
- the context of which the rehabilitation guidance councellors work within
- the formal qualifications of the guidance councellors
- the guidance councellors understanding of their own work place.
