资源简介:
This project contains data used on time preferences of two samples. The first sample consists of online participants recruited on Prolific (with residence in the US), collected in July 2023. These participants completed time preference elicitation questions following the 'Convex Time Budget' methodology as well as a newly proposed methodology called 'Multiple Lottery Lists'. The purpose was to compare the performance of the two methodologies when background income or consumption varies. The second sample contains job seekers from Edinburgh (Scotland), and the data was collected in 2013/2014. The respondents completed a similar time preference elicitation (MLL) survey with the purpose of studying how time preferences relate to job search behaviour and success. Additionally, this project contains scripts to replicate a number of time preference simulations to demonstrate how variations in income affect responses to different preference elicitation methodologies.
