Dîwân-i-Shahîd (ديوان شهيد).

The large dîwân of a modern poet with the takhalluṣ Shahîd, who is probably identical with Mirzâ Muḥammad Bâḳir Shahîd, who was still alive in A.H. 1169 (A.D. 1756), see A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 150, last line. Another Shahîd of Kashmîr is mentioned in W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 684, l. 21.

Ghazals, in alphabetical order, on fol. 1b, beginning:

زهى انديشۀ ذات تو مستغنى زدقّتها

زوصف پشت بر ديوار حيرت مانده فطرتها

Ḳiṭ’as, tarkîbbands, ḳaṣîdas, short mathnawîs, and rubâ’is, on fol. 370b; beginning of the ḳiṭ’as:

اى شهيد هوا دلت تا كى – آرزومند آرزو باشد

The first mathnawî, on fol. 446a, begins:

خداوندا كريما كارسازا – قديما قادرا عاجز نوازا

This copy is defective at the end, and besides greatly damaged in the last pages; it was purchased at Ḥaidarâbâd.
