Blastomyces samples from India, Raw sequence reads

Microbiological techniques suggested the three isolates belong to the genus Blastomyces. Genome sequencing revealed the three isolates belong to a genetically differentiated lineage of B. dermatitidis. The Indian and North American lineages of B. dermatitidis, still show evidence of gene flow, indicating that if speciation has taken place, it is not complete. Since the three patients had no evidence of traveling outside the Indian continent, blastomycosis was most likely autochthonously acquired which in turn suggests a local population of B. dermatitidis.
