Based on the common mucosal immune system, the lungs and intestines can interact via microorganisms and their metabolites. Abuse of antibiotics causing gut microbiota dysbiosis exacerbates lung injury induced by influenza virus infection, but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Using influenza virus-infected mice as a model and antibiotic-induced gut microbiota dysbiosis to simulate clinical conditions, this study investigated the impact of gut microbiota dysbiosis on the efficacy of anti-influenza drugs from the perspective of the lung-gut immune axis, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for guiding rational clinical drug use.
