Multiple sclerosis is associated with destruction of oligodendrocytes, demyelination and impaired remyelination. Disease modifying therapies available act mainly anti-inflammatory, neuroregenerative substances with potential remyelination-promoting effects are lacking. The impact of a new medicine that closes this gap on the gut microbiome has been studied.
