Code and Simulation Data for "Three-Dimensional Ocean Dynamics and Detectability of Tidally Locked Lava Worlds"

The /code/ and /input/ directories contain the scripts and configuration files used to perform simulations with the MITgcm. All other archived data are used to generate the figures presented in the associated manuscript: Three-Dimensional Tidally Locked Lava Dynamics and Detectability. The name of each ZIP archive identifies the corresponding model setup, including thermally driven cases with different substellar temperatures, evaporation-driven cases with various evaporation rates, wind-driven cases with distinct magnitudes of wind stress, as well as integrations including all forcings combined. Each ZIP archive contains snapshots of 3D dynamical fields (zonal and meridional velocities u,v, vertical velocity w, temperature T, and density anomaly), sea surface height (SSH), and total heat flux (TFLUX), output after the model has reached a quasi-equilibrium state.
