Seawater samples were collected at Weihai, China (122.12 N, 37.56 E) on October 15th in 2018, January 15th in 2019, May 1st in 2019, and August 1st in 2019. 1 L of the sample was filtered on a 0.2 µm pore size polycarbonate membrane filter. To investigate the bacterial communities, 16S rRNA genes were amplified from extracted DNA and sequenced using primers targetting the V3-V4 region on the Illumina HiSeq 250 platform using 2x 250 bp chemistry.
