This series comprises the Minute book of departmental supervisors meetings of the Chief Secretary’s Department. The meetings were held initially monthly and later half-yearly.The Minute book contains typescript copies of minutes and meeting papers relating to meetings of the Chief Secretary’s departmental supervisors. The papers relate to discussions and changes of administrative procedures in the Department, particularly in relation to personnel management and staff training. Included is a summary of the Australian Broadcasting Commissions' "Guest of Honour" programme with Field Marshall Sir William Slim (Broadcast on 18 June 1950). Other matters discussed included staff changes, recruitment and the departmental records system.
