Most wanted e-commerce innovations in the Netherlands 2023, by generation

According to a 2023 survey, on average the most wanted e-commerce innovation for consumers of all generations in the Netherlands was personalized product recommendations. Additionally, more than 30 percent of each generation wished e-commerce sites could enhance more advanced frictionless payment methods, with Millennials leading the way at 37 percent. Gen Z and Millennials were the biggest fans of virtual and augmented reality, a technological innovation 26 percent of each would like to try out.
