Drained, restored and pristine boreal peatland porewater and runoff quality data

Porewater and runoff quality data from 2008 to 2020 for five drained and restored and three pristine boreal peatlands in Finland. Water quality was monitored on average four and seven times  per frost-free season for porewater and runoff, respectively, with grab samples, and analyzed in accredited laboratories with standard methods. Data includes measurements of pH, electric conductivity, total soluble phosphorus and nitrogen, dissolved organic carbon, UV absorbance in 254 nm wavelength, and additionally for runoff measurements of phosphate phosphorus, ammonium and combined nitrite and nitrate nitrogen, gran alkalinity and alkalinity, calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, and iron.
