Gene expression profile at single cell level of mouse submandibular glands (SMG) after transient activation of Hedgehog signaling

Transient activation of Hedgehog signaling rescues radiation damage of SMG. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze effects of transient activation of Hedgehog signaling on the diversity of SMG cells and their paracrine/juxtacrine interactions. Overall design: Hedgehog signaling in SMGs of adult male C57BL/6 mice was transiently activated by intra-gland injection of Smoothened agonist (SAG), and SMGs were collected 4 days later and analyzed using scRNAseq.
