Transient activation of Hedgehog signaling rescues radiation damage of SMG. We used single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) to analyze effects of transient activation of Hedgehog signaling on the diversity of SMG cells and their paracrine/juxtacrine interactions. Overall design: Hedgehog signaling in SMGs of adult male C57BL/6 mice was transiently activated by intra-gland injection of Smoothened agonist (SAG), and SMGs were collected 4 days later and analyzed using scRNAseq.
