Ofu 2017 data for Reef flat flow dynamics for a nearly closed fringing reef-lagoon: Ofu, American Samoa

This is the data discussed in Maticka et al. "Reef flat flow dynamics for a nearly closed fringing reef-lagoon: Ofu, American Samoa" submitted for publication in JGR Oceans in September 2022. It consists of Matlab structures with variables listed first by instrument type and then by data type and processing. Primasrily this data describes waves and flows observed in March 2017 on the fore-reef and reef flat of pool 400 on the south shore of Ofu. In the paper, the data is analyzed to show how the waves break and dissipate on the reef flat, and what flows they drive there. The observed flow measurements include 5 days when a highh resolution ADCP was measuring reef flat flows, measurements that give unique detail on the vertical structure of these flows. This work builds on the earlier work of Rogers et al. and is also discussed in the PhD thesis of Samantha Maticka, from this paper is drived.
