Chlorophyll-a and dissolved inorganic nutrient concentrations of the tidal cycle in the Bahía Blanca Estuary (Argentina)

This dataset reports chlorophyll-a and dissolved inorganic nutrient concentrations (nitrite, nitrate, and ammonium) measured during a semidiurnal tidal cycle in the Bahía Blanca Estuary (Argentina). Surface water samples were collected using a Van Dorn bottle at discrete time points across tidal phases. Nutrient samples were filtered (0.7 µm GF/F), stored frozen, and analyzed following standard colorimetric methods (APHA, 2017; Solórzano, 1969) using a UV–Vis spectrophotometer (Jenway 6715). Chlorophyll-a was determined fluorometrically after methanol extraction using a Shimadzu RF-5301PC spectrofluorometer. The dataset provides environmental context for interpreting plankton and seston dynamics under tidal forcing.
