OpenAlex is a free and open catalog of the global research system, containing metadata for over 250 million scholarly works, including papers, books, datasets, and more, from over 90 million authors, 120 thousand venues, and 100 thousand institutions. This dataset provides a streamlined subset of 174 million scholarly works with rich metadata, facilitating the analysis of research trends, construction of citation networks and knowledge graphs, training of academic text understanding models, and development of scholarly search and recommendation systems.
