大规模的浒苔类绿潮造成了各种环境和生态问题以及经济后果。准确、快速地识别它们是很重要的。现有的基于ITS、rbcL和5S间隔序列的通用标记对不同的近缘种存在缺陷。本研究通过对Ulva叶绿体基因组基因间区进行研究,发现了一种新的c15标记(基于ycf3-rps7)可用于Ulva种属的鉴别。值得注意的是,c15的分辨率适合于解析近缘种缘管浒苔和浒苔,这可能为破译绿潮爆发机制提供工具。

Large-scale Ulva green tides have caused various environmental, ecological issues and economic consequences. Accurate and rapid identification of these Ulva species is critically important. Existing universal molecular markers based on ITS, rbcL and 5S spacer sequences have limitations in discriminating closely related Ulva species. This study investigated the intergenic regions of the Ulva chloroplast genome, and identified a novel c15 marker (based on ycf3-rps7) that can be used for the identification of Ulva species. Notably, the c15 marker has suitable resolution for discriminating the closely related species Ulva linza and Ulva prolifera, which may provide a valuable tool for deciphering the mechanisms of green tide outbreaks.
