The dataset was generated from a pot experiment with three soil selenium (Se) levels: 0, 2.28, and 22.83 mg Se·kg⁻¹ (dry soil weight), corresponding to Na₂SeO₃ application rates of 0, 5, and 50 mg·kg⁻¹, respectively. The experimental design included monoculture wheat (6 plants per pot), monoculture Cardamine hupingshanensis (6 plants per pot), and intercropping (3 wheat plants + 3 C. hupingshanensis plants per pot, ~2 cm spacing), with six biological replicates per treatment. The soil used was mixed loam, air-dried and sieved (2 mm) prior to use.Pre-germinated wheat seedlings and vegetative-stage C. hupingshanensis seedlings were transplanted and grown under controlled conditions for 30 days before sampling. Measured variables included wheat growth and physiological traits (e.g., biomass, chlorophyll content), as well as rhizosphere microbial community structure based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Data are provided in tabular format, including treatment information, replicate identifiers, and all measured variables.
