Metagenomics sequencing of febrile patient for Dengue virus detection and genomic characterization.
Febrile patients across different age groups were screened for current and past exposure to the dengue virus in southwest Nigeria. Metagenomics was performed on acutely infected patients, which yielded complete genomes of DENV-1 genotype III for the first time in Nigeria.
