Brucella is a genus of Gram-negative, facultatively intracellular bacteria that are pathogenic in mammals, including humans. They are named after David Bruce, a Scottish microbiologist who isolated them in 1887. Brucella species are primarily known for causing the disease brucellosis, which is a zoonotic infection that affects domestic and wild animals, as well as humans.These data consist of complete genome sequences and raw sequencing data of Brucella from both domestic and international sources, with these data originating from before August 2024.
