资源简介:
This is part of the San Xavier Farm Rehabilitation Project. Additional entries related to this project can be found at the following link: https://core.tdar.org/collection/27482.
The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is assisting the San Xavier District (District) of the Tohono O’odham Nation and the San Xavier Farm Cooperative in the extensive rehabilitation of approximately 1,700 acres of active and fallow farmland along the Santa Cruz River at San Xavier. The major impacts to fields and some adjacent lands will be from installation of water pipelines, laterals, and vaults; reconstruction of drainage channels; and construction of dikes to prevent storm water runoff, including an extension of the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) dike under Interstate 19 (I-19) at the Papago Interchange. The project is covered by a Memorandum of Agreement between Reclamation, San Xavier District, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and State Historic Preservation Office, including a burial agreement plan. Archaeological Consulting Services, Ltd. (ACS) recently completed intensive testing within the proposed rights-of-way of the various project components (January–March, 2005) (report at tDAR ID: 393788), leading to the identification of three archaeologically sensitive areas.
This is the photo log of the photos taken during the monitoring of constructions in those sensitive areas.
The photos are available at tDAR ID: 393802.
The revised executive summary document can be found at tDAR ID: 393800.
