VPRS 16975 Stadia Field Books (S Prefix)

This series of field books contain sketches of stadia stations and drawings and measurements of water storages (dams and creeks). Information recorded includes instrument number, station number, angles and height, plan number and surveyor's name.Survey books are used by surveyors in the field to survey allotments (Field Books) and water levels / tables (Level Books). Each page contains drawings, plots and/or annotations showing angles and distances from guide points and (in some cases) the outline and details of subdivisions and constructions thereon.Information from survey books is used to draw up plans to plot water, sewerage and drainage works.Familiarity with survey techniques is necessary to make full use of these records.
