RNA-seq of Carabus blaptoides

A transcriptomic study was conducted on Carabus blaptoides fortunei and Carabus blaptoides capito with the goal of identifying genes associatedwith adaptive morphology in beetles. First, mRNA was extracted from different developmental stages such as embryo, first instar larva, second instar larva, prepupa, pupa, and adult using Carabus blaptoides fortunei for gene prediction, and RNA-Seq was performed. Next, mRNA was extracted from the prepupal heads and thoraces Carabus blaptoides fortunei and Carabus blaptoides capito for gene expression analysis and RNA-Seq.
