The list of substorms and pseudosubstorms used in the paper entitled "Differences in Ultra-Low-Frequency Waves Associated with Dipolarization in the Near-Earth Magnetotail Between Substorms and Pseudosubstorms"
收藏资源简介:
Text files containing the lists of substorm and pseudosubstorm events selected for the present study, including dipolarization onset times and THEMIS spacecraft locations. From the left to right columns: the date (in the format of YYYYMMDD) and time (in the format of hh:mm:ss) of initial auroral brightening (from Fukui et al., 2020; Nishimura et al., 2011); the THEMIS all-sky imager (ASI) station where the initial auroral brightening was observed; the name of the THEMIS spacecraft located in the plasma sheet during the event; the dipolarization onset time in the format of hh:mm:ss; and the probe’s location in geocentric solar magnetospheric (GSM) coordinates (X, Y, and Z in Earth’s radius, RE) at the time of dipolarization onset, along with the radial distance R in RE. Multiple entries may appear for a single event if more than one THEMIS spacecraft observed dipolarization. Substorms and pseudosubstorms are defined as events with and without auroral poleward expansion, respectively (Fukui et al., 2020).
