CCZ polymetallic nodule crevice fauna

This dataset contains metadata, abiotic data (nodule dimensions), and biotic data (counts of crevice fauna) from 244 polymetallic nodules collected from 16 boxcores from the Belgian and German license areas within the Clarion-Clipperton Zone. All crevice fauna were extracted with Ludox centrifugation following (Burgess et al., 2001), counted, and sorted into higher taxa. The dataset therefore contains the counts of each higher taxa corresponding to each nodule processed.

本数据集包含采自克拉里昂-克利珀顿区（Clarion-Clipperton Zone）内比利时与德国许可证作业区的16个箱式取样器（boxcore）所采集的244枚多金属结核（polymetallic nodules）的元数据、非生物数据（结核尺寸）及生物数据（缝隙动物群（crevice fauna）计数结果）。所有缝隙动物群均参照（Burgess等，2001）的方法，采用卢多克斯（Ludox）离心法完成提取、计数，并归类至高级分类单元（higher taxa）。因此，本数据集包含每一枚经处理的多金属结核对应的各高级分类单元的个体计数数据。
