资源简介:
Black-breasted thrush (Turdus dissimilis), a medium-sized Turdus bird in the Turdidae family, is widely distributed in montane areas from northeastern India and Myanmar to southern China. It is listed as a least concern (LC) species by the IUCN due to its large and stable range and population. We sequenced the complete mitogenome of T. dissimilis and examined its phylogenetic relationship with other Passeriformes. The result shows that the mitochondrial DNA is packaged in a compact 16,761-basepair (bp) circular molecule with an A+T content of 52.50%. This genome contains 37 typical mitochondrial genes, including 13 protein-coding genes, 2 rRNAs and 22 tRNAs, and 1 noncoding region. A phylogenetic tree based on the mitogenome sequences of 19 Turdidae species and one outgroup was reconstructed, and it indicated that T. dissimilis was sister to T. unicolor. The new mitogenome data provides useful information for applications in conservation genetics and further clarifies the phylogenetic evolution of this species.
