Transcriptome data of VdSOX gene knockout in Verticillium dahliae (PRJCA041376)

After knocking out the Vdsox gene in Verticillium dahliae, transcriptome sequencing was performed on the conidia of the knockout strain to investigate the impact of VdSOX gene on the native growth and development of V. dahliae. Furthermore, transcriptome sequencing was conducted on the VdSOX knockout strain induced by cotton roots to study the changes in fungal genes regulated by the VdSOX gene during the infection process of V. dahliae in cotton. Simultaneously, cotton plants inoculated with the VdSOX knockout strain underwent transcriptome sequencing to examine the alterations in host plant disease resistance genes regulated by the VdSOX gene. Ultimately, this study aims to elucidate the role of the VdSOX gene in the infection process of V. dahliae in cotton.
