The work thermally simulated the convergence process of the Sanyihe Arc and the Hamahira Arc with the finite element method. Based on gravity, magnetic and geothermal data, We calculated the evolution of oceanic crust dynamic topography caused by the difference of subduction velocity between two directions in Molucca sea since 10 Ma, the evolution of geothermal gradient in fore arc basin since 4 Ma, the shear friction heat during the process of forward and backward subduction, and the influence of ocean ridge subduction on island arc volcanic activity.
