Helicobacter pylori infection causes gastric / duodenal ulcer in patients. The multiple antibiotics combinational therapy is used to eradicate the H. pylori. However, failure eradication of the pathogen in the patients commonly results from the resistance to the antibiotics by the strains of the H. pylori. Thus, the resistant strains of the H. pylori were isolated from the patient stomach before and after the antibiotics therapy. Comparative genomic sequencing the strains of the H. pylori will help us to understand the genetic mutation while they become resistance to antibiotics.
