Dataset and R Code for "Determinants of Under-Five Mortality in Türkiye: A Province-Level Ecological Study Using Hierarchical Regression Analysis"

This repository contains the province-level analytical dataset and R code used in the study entitled “Determinants of Under-Five Mortality in Türkiye: A Province-Level Ecological Study Using Hierarchical Regression Analysis.” The dataset includes data for all 81 provinces of Türkiye. The R code reproduces the hierarchical multiple linear regression analyses, model comparisons, multicollinearity diagnostics, regression diagnostic plots, and Global Moran’s I analysis of the final model residuals. The analytical dataset was compiled from publicly available data obtained from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) and the Black Report published by the Right to Clean Air Platform. Province-level administrative boundary data used for the spatial analysis were obtained from GADM version 4.1. The GADM boundary file is not included in this repository because redistribution of GADM spatial data requires prior permission. Users should obtain the Türkiye administrative boundary data directly from GADM to reproduce the spatial analysis.
