We used 16S rRNA, V3-V4 region to describe and analyze the gut microbiota of field wMel- and wMel+ Ae. aegypti with Brazilian genetic background. Mosquito sampling was made in three areas of Rio de Janeiro with different wMel invasion status, and in two areas with wild Ae.aegypti population.
