资源简介:
Seven soil samples were submitted for macrofossil analysis from four lithic scatters on the east side of Routt National Forest in north-central Colorado. These sites are located in the north-west corner of Grand County along Muddy Creek, north of Lake Agnes and close to Rabbit Ears Pass. They lie within the lower portion of the subalpine zone at an elevation of 9500-9600 feet. The emphasis during the analysis of the flotation samples submitted by Centuries Research, Inc. was on determining the interrelationships between prehistoric site inhabitants and the special high altitude floral resources they utilized. Wright et al. (1980) proposed a model of high country adaptation which will be utilized in the interpretation of the macrofossil data from these sites.
