Lab 4 Data Set

The selected group of 4 lab partners are Kristine Georgilopoulos-Gulli, Yu Xiao, Naz Naji and Winnie Zhao. We headed to the woodlot by Chimneystack Rd. on the York University Campus. We collected a dataset on the perimeter of the woodlot. The perimeter was defined as the first 2 metres around the circumference of the woodlot. A data set was also collected on the inside of the woodlot, which we defined as 10 metres from the outer edge of the perimeter of the forest. This was a block experiment. We randomly selected Adult Silver Maple Leaf tree species and recorded, the girth of the tree trunk; canopy exposure to sunlight; the percentage of leaf abundance; tree height; leaf colours; soil moisture and ph level. This was repeated on ten occasions on the perimeter of the forest and on ten occasions on the inside of the forest. This experiment was repeated once again after a period of one week.
