DDoS defense solutions in SDN (excluding AI, information theory methods)

Apart from machine-learning, neural network and information theory techniques, many researchers used other proficient methods such as SYN cookie algorithm, TRW-CB, Rate Limiting, Graph theory, Queuing Theory, Bloom Filters, and Cumulative Sums etc., for detection and mitigation of DDoS attack in SDN. This is a comparison of the aforementioned state-of-the-art methods.
