Data set contains continuous <em>in vivo</em> blood glucose, body temperature, and activity raw data of Djungarian hamsters (<em>Phodopus sungorus</em>) obtained by HD-XG implantable telemetry (Data Science International). For selected measurement days, metabolic and respiratory exchange rate data are available as well, obtained by the Calobox indirect calorimetry system (Phenosys). Finally, body mass, food consumption, fur index, surgical scores, gluocse sensor calibrations, and data on animal sacrifice are summarized. The hamsters were either long or short photoperiod-acclimated and expressed daily torpor in response to food restriction or spontaneously, respectively.
