The objective of this study was to assess how nutrient limitation influences the intra and extracellular metabolomic profiles of the microalgae Prymnesium parvum and its associated bacteria. Controlled laboratory cultures of P. parvum, grown alone or with a synthetic bacterial community, were established under nitrogen-, phosphorus-, and vitamin B12-limited conditions. Intracellular and extracellular metabolites were analyzed across nutrient regimes using untargeted metabolomic profiling at day 8 of the experiment.
