Mapping of genome-wide breaks in nuclei

The study set out to map the endogenous DNA double-stranded break (DSB) landscape in multiple cell types. The overall goal is to identify factors that are driving DNA DSBs to better understand the mechanisms behind genome instability. By mapping the endogenous breaks in multiple cell types the study strives to understand both cell type independent and dependent mechanisms behind DSB generation. Gaining a better understanding of mechanisms behind genome instability will advance our knowledge of genome instability in disease.
