The AFBench dataset, jointly created by Harbin Institute of Technology, Shanghai AI Lab, and Shanghai Aeronautical Design and Research Institute, is a large-scale aerodynamic inverse design dataset. The dataset contains 200,000 meticulously designed synthetic and manually designed airfoils with 11 geometric parameters and aerodynamic characteristics under 66 operating conditions. The creation process of the dataset includes data synthesis using an automated data engine, high-quality annotation, and low-quality filtering. The AFBench dataset is primarily applied in the field of aerodynamic inverse design, aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial applications through multimodal instructions to achieve data-driven controllable inverse design models.
