Acanthamoeba lenticulata strain:72/2 Genome sequencing and assembly

The eukaryote Acanthamoeba lenticulata belongs to the genotype T5 and constitutes an opportunistic microorganism that is globally distributed in aquatic and terrestrial environments and can also act as a host for various bacterial endosymbionts. Here, we performed whole genome shotgun sequencing and a de novo assembly of A. lenticulata strain 72/2 which resulted in a complete draft sequence of 74.7 Mb.
