Sage-grouse Resource Selection in Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota, 2001-2021

USGS scientists evaluated seasonal resource selection of Greater Sage-Grouse (Centrocercus urophasianus) that were tracked with GPS and VHF transmitters from several studies across Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota, USA, 2001-2021. Data include measures of environmental characteristics within used and available areas for analyses of seasonal resource selection. Used polygons represent high-use areas for individual sage-grouse defined by spatiotemporal clustering of tracking data and include information on the size, time, and duration of use for each area by sage-grouse.
