The epitope sequence is from the reference: Huang et al. (2012) Nature 491: 406-412 [PMID: 23151583]. The epitope-specific mAb 10E8 injected into rhesus monkeys protected all animals against SHIV infection when the virus was administered at a dose of 5 or 20 mg/kg (12 of 12 protected) and partially protected at a dose of 0.3 mg/kg (3 of 6 protected).
