NGC1052 comma the Key to Explore the Disk-Jet Connection in AGN

In a large joined effort of major radio and Xray facilities, we are monitoringthe active galaxy NGC1052 with Xray spectral observations, radio fluxdensityand parsecscale VLBI imaging the jetsystem. Our RXTE monitoring revealshighamplitude Xray variability, which seems to correlate with epochs of jetproduction, presumably indicative of changes in the energy flow into the jet. Wepropose to perform two RXTEtriggered 50ksec observations of NGC1052 to measurethe spectral composition in two different accretion states and in relation tothe jetproduction activity. We will trace the mediumtohard Xray evolution ofthe source between the two XMMNewton pointings with a series of monthly 10ksecSwift/ XRT observations, as well as with the Swift/BAT monitor. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
