A heterogeneous lithosphere on Venus

Data set associated to the manuscript “A heterogeneous lithosphere on Venus” by I. Romeo , A. Jiménez‐Díaz, M. Mendiburu-Eliçabe, I. Egea-González, R.M. Hahn, P.K. Byrne, J. F. Kirby, J. Álvarez-Lozano & J. Ruiz. A preprint is available at http://arxiv.org/abs/2506.18568. The file DBPlains.txt contains equal-area distributed data points on Venus corresponding to the volcanic plains with a spatial resolution of 211.22 km. For each point, the following parameters are provided: latitude, longitude, plains unit (northern, southern, or BAT), crustal thickness (Tc in km), effective elastic lithospheric thickness (Te in km) and the subsurface load fraction (F). The file Venus_map.zip contains a Qgis project of the global geological provinces on Venus in Robinson projection.
