Temperature profile and salinity data were collected from the POLARNOYE SIYANIYE, PARALLAKS, NIKOLAI KUROPATKIN, EVGENIY KRIVOSHEYEV, PAVEL KAIKOV, AND A.BORISOV from May 25, 1984 to October 15, 1988. These data were collected using bottle casts in the Southern Oceans. Data were submitted by the Arctic and Antarctica Research Institute. Additional funding for digitizing historic data was provided by GODAR.
